A news release from Police Chief Terry Luecke of the Snyder police Department states:
On Sunday January 24th, 2016 at 8:55am Officers from the Snyder Police Department were dispatched to the 2000 block of Avenue Z in reference to a suspicious vehicle parked on the side of the roadway by the mail boxes. Officers responded to the location and located a vehicle parked with the engine running. At about 9:13am on this date a female and a male came into the Law Enforcement Center and the female reported that at about 4:00am 2 people had broke into their house located in the 2100 Block of Avenue Z and an assault had taken place at that location and two male subjects had been killed. Officers were dispatched to the 2100 Block of Avenue Z where the bodies of two deceased male subjects were located. The two deceased white male subjects did not have any identification on them for a positive identification, but through the course of the investigation leads were developed on the possible identities of the two adult males. Their names are being withheld pending positive identification and notification of their families. Their bodies have been transported to Lubbock, TX for autopsy. A female subject who is identified as, 28 years old, Nicole Dabney of Snyder and a male identified as, 24 year old, Juan Barron of Phoenix, AZ. were taken into custody and charged with Tampering With Evidence in connection with this investigation. The case remains under investigation.~

Scurry County Sheriff Department And Snyder Police Department

After several months of a cooperative investigation between the DEA, Scurry County District Attorney’s Office, Scurry County Sheriffs Department and the Snyder Police led to the filing of multiple criminal cases being filed and arrest warrants being issued for 19 individuals for
Delivery of a Controlled Substance and the issuance to 2 search warrants. On Thursday May 28th, 2015 the DEA, Texas Department of Public Safety SWAT Team and their Special Response Team, the Scurry County District Attorney’s Office Investigator, the Scurry County
Sheriffs Department and the Snyder Police Department executed two search warrants on two residences related to the drug investigations. One residence was located in the 3100 Block of 41 st and the second residence was located in the 400 Block of 35 th, both locations were within the
city limits of Snyder, Texas. The search resulted in the collection of drug related evidence and the recovery of a stolen travel trailer. After the execution of the search warrants, I I arrest
warrants on the individuals identified in the course of this investigation were served. There are
still outstanding warrants for other individuals that have been identified and other warrants will
be issued upon receiving pending lab results. One other individual that is a subject of this investigation was taken into custody for unrelated misdemeanor charges. This investigation will continue.
